“The Panel determined pursuant to section 45A(2)(d) of the Act to reprimand Dr Larkins with regard to allegations 1(a), (b), (c) and (d). The Panel reprimands Dr Larkins:

  • for inappropriate prescribing of large quantities of a drug of dependence, namely Ritalin, that was not medically warranted
  • for not recognising the patient’s drug-dependent behaviour
  • for not making adequate enquiries as to whether or not Mr GT was drug-dependent
  • for not having an appropriate treatment plan for Mr GT
